| thank you nick, especially with gas prices getting higher, and a BMW requiring premium Gasoline, most likely my entire paycheck will go towards gas, rather then me saving up for new wheels or any suspension components, and any money i will have left over will most definitely go towards maintenance to get the car running in pristine condition | |

| If you want an e36, look for a clean 325 or 328is. There is nothing worse than owning a bmw that you cant afford. Take any excess money you have and put it towards getting stage 0 maintenance done although you should know, it is constant work keeping up with an e36 if you want it to be nice. | |

So now you don't want a BMW? I'm telling you, get something that's not a luxury brand..

| BMW is a performance based German company, not luxury like Audi, also i dropped my car off at the shop, to see if they can bleed the abs motor, and shut off the secondary air pump, also i installed the new intake manifold shift rod today, and you could see the old one just completely beet up, the bearings no longer held their shape, so they began to expand | |

They make luxury cars with sport-oriented handling and such but they are still a premium brand.

So now you don't want a BMW? I'm telling you, get something that's not a luxury brand.. I agree with Adam here. There is no point in buying a Bmw if you can not afford to keep it in really god shape. That's why I abandoned Bmw, it became tiring spending my money simply to keep the car in coreect orser both mechanically ans cosmetically. Your much better off taking your 5 grand and getting something like a CLEAN 2.5rs. As fast as an e36, comfortable and it wont open your wallet every month like a bmw will.

| HAHAHA omg wow Dani, do you learn from your mistakes?
Dani, I'll give you one piece of advice. Don't be brand specific, or brand loyal. It will end up biting you in the ass. Unless you want to spend 6 months looking for a good car for a good price you need to branch out. Right now, your range of cars you are looking at is: BMW E36 Manual. That is very specific and will give you hardly anything to choose from. If you widen your range to: RWD 6 cyl manual, than there are more cars out there, and there is a better chance you will find a decent one for a good price. Luxury brands are also more expensive to buy, and maintain, period. So even though you are getting a good car, you are still spending money for the brand, and does an 18 year old really need a BMW? IMO no.

| Dani trust me...don't get a luxury car. It sucks. Get an old "luxury car" back when they weighed less than an elephant or get something else. | |

| If you remember, I did suggest an e30. Honestly, if your trying to get your pimp on, keep your car. Not a lot of 18 year olds have a mk4 gti, especially a clean vr6 | |

| As long as you get a DOHC, which is most of them, you'd have fun with it. The handling from 240SX is beautiful and the KA24 is a good daily engine. | |

| im done with the GTI, Jacob you really shouldnt be talking about affording a luxury car, when you dont really keep up with your car, aka the front end still smashed........ and getting a pimp on with a e36 would be nice, also ask nick, does a 18 year old need a bmw? hes had quite a few, but fine adam i will try it your way, i will draw myself out of the german world and explore america and japan not korea | |
