I got the car back this morning.. Nick and I went out to check the car out and it look awful. All the gaps were horribly off, there are scratches all over the whole trunk lid and bumper, there are bubbles at one of the corners of the bumper. I told them to fix it, so they made me wait for an hour, and told me it was ready. He said "we readjusted the trunk lid, and clear coated the corner were the bubble was, and the guy is just running it through the wash right now." So that means it washed off all of the clear coat they put on.. isn't it obvious that clear coat takes more than an hour to cure? I'm not sure if I'm going to go back and complain again, because the bumper still isn't aligned properly, and I'm afraid if I tell them about all the paint imperfections, they will just mess it up even more.

Haha sure!
Phil says: Who did the work?
That is exactly what happened when I had my x-type. I took it into Progressive and they sent it off to their "preferred" repair center which meant that I just dropped the car off at their hub, and my rental was waiting right there. It was easy but that place completely fucked up the car. Long story short, I insisted on getting it fixed at a place of my choosing. I called up the Jag dealer and asked who they used for their body work and took it there. It cost another $4000 to fix what the first place had done. Oh, and BTW it was a Ford dealershit that fucked it up.
Do not settle for a fucked up car, you will regret it. Tell them you're taking it somewhere else. I highly recommend Roberts in Chelsea.

I say: It was Varsity Ford. It's weird because I've heard such good things about them, but I wasn't happy about any of it. They handled the whole situation wrong from the beginning, when it wasn't done when they told me. They also replaced the trunk lid with a used lid, and I wouldn't doubt they put on a used bumper cover.
Phil says: That is complete bullshit, you are supposed to get new parts! Who the hell is your insurance company?
I say: I think it's citizens, I'll probably be going back to the dealer with my Dad on Saturday to straighten things out.
Phil says: Just my opinion but that's a bad idea. You know the place sucks, and has tried to push off shoddy work on you twice now. I would contact the insurance company next and tell them your car was not repaired correctly and you want to take it somewhere else. Do not let VF touch it again.
I say: Yeah that's a good idea, I don't trust them one bit with my car anymore

Jeez, this morning was a trip. I really couldn't believe it when the Body Shop manager said "I even got you a new bumper instead of a re-manufactured one!"

we got the passengers side front coilover to adjust, but for the drivers front coilover, that is still seized, with a damaged collar from the air chisel so Adam ordered a new color, so we will cut the seized color off and install the new one

Yes! We cut it off fine, then took the threads to the wire wheel, and the one we did looks brand new. Right here it is completely maxed out, the fronts are at the bottom of the threads, and I took the perch out of the rear. Also, it's hard to tell from the pics, but the upper grille is a LOT darker in person, if the light hits it (or doesn't hit it) right, it looks like a really dark gray. It looks so much different than the last time you guys say it
