| Dani dont spend a dime on performance parts untill youre slammed. Honestly get some coils and slam it on 9+ inch wide rims, it would look awesome. | |

Dude, seriously haha? If you like to drive your car Dani, don't listen to Kash lol. Having a "slammed" car, I can tell you it is probably the single most annoying thing in the world. I hate, HATE, rubbing around corners. It feels like your tire might pop any moment. When your going like 100+ mph, that's not a very good feeling.

That's my philosophy. I understand Kash has a different idea about cars but he can't go on polluting Dani's mind haha

| LOL dont listen to these race car drivers dani. You guys talk like you track your cars everyday when in reality you just go to school/work or whatever. For that 1% of the year that you do race, yah function> form. I rather roll in style for 99% of the year and sacrifice a little handling when(IF) I track my car, and you guys talk like low cars can't handle which is false. | |

I would rip the front bumper off of that car the first time I tried to get into my driveway, haha, is that the intended function?

First of all, I promise you that he doesn't track it at that height. I'm also willing to bet that that he goes to nice smooth tracks. There is a major difference between smooth fresh fairly bump-less pavement and a real world Michigan road. Also god forbid he ever tries to hit up gravel or dirt. - JAP_Monster wrote:

Hey, I go for drives more than 1% of the year I'm not saying lowered cars cant handle, I like lowered cars but even more so I like cars that I know are driven. If you are rolling around in a mk4 gti on 17x9 BBS rs, with the car on the ground you are sending the message that you don't really care about driving fast around corners. If you want a prime example, take Aldens car, it's as low as he could get it without rubbing and actually it still rubs sometimes. Only so much rolling stretching pulling can happen before you realize that it was dumb idea to got that low. Still I have no problem with cars/people like that, I understand that "canyon" carving is not everybodys thing and I still love a good looking car lowered on low offset wide ass wheels.

| Yeah I agree with Nick. I mean a lot of stanced cars make me drool, but I just would not want to DD them, especially here. I supppose you could slam it to take pics, and then put it back up to a height that still makes driving fun. | |

| I would much rather have a full suspension at a functional height, rather than have just coilovers. After winter, I'll have ~1000 into my suspension (and could potentially be more next year). I'd rather have that suspension set up, than a set of 1000 dollar coilovers. | |

| So you're saying that coilovers are not a "full suspension"? [insert scratching head smiley here] | |

| Haha yeah I can't give him too much crap because there was a time when I didn't really understand what they were either. But they are definitely a full suspension and ones of good quality are as good as, or better than a spring+damper setup. | |

Yep me as well. As far as spring/shock setups, no arguing that Konis are excellent, were not trying to dissuade you from keeping your suspension Adam.

| Yeah I have absolutely no complaints about my Eibach+Koni setup, other than the fact that it's not adjustable. If I had it to do over again I would have just waited a bit and bought coils, but I was too impatient to drop it so I had the springs in hand before I even bought the car. | |

| That depends on a lot of different factors...
* what options are available for your car in each category * do you have the desire to change the ride height * what is the cost difference of the springs vs coils
If there's a springs/dampers combo available that gives you the stance you want and is a lot cheaper than coils and you have no desire to change height, then go that route.
If you think you might want to change the height or there isn't a spring set that gives you the stance you want then go coils.
