Lotus threw a Torque Converter from the Camry into their Evora S IPS

That's good, some people can't use a clutch for physical reasons, now Lotus is an option.

Haha, the funny thing is, we have a term for Kettering girls. IPS means "instant princess syndrome."

well its good that they have more options, but the fact that they threw a torque converter in there instead of a DSG is kind of pathetic, they grab too many parts from the Camry in my opinion

Torque converter is fine, and keeps costs down and low cost is one of the few selling points of a Lotus.

Should have used a beefed up version of the Aisin unit going into the BRZ.

whats an Aisin? i looked it up all i could find out is that it is a Toyota Tranny and which vehicles use it

Aisin is a transmission supplier.

I don't think so.

I think Lotus might not want to invest in building their own DSG transaxle.

No it's not however I'm sure they could have made one.
