ive got a question, my Dads 01 Corolla, hesitates to start up when warm, meaning it will continue to turn over, with no ignition, but when cold it starts normally, there is a code for it saying Bank 1 running too lean, and help will be greatly appreciated

Could be a lot of things that cause that. How bad is it? You said it doesn't start easily when it's warm, how does it idle once it starts?

starting when warm, your holding the key for a while then it stutters when trying to ignite, then idle is fine, once it gets pasts its little ignition problem

i checked the plugs today, they look pretty decent, no severe signs of wear on any of the 4

would the MAF be a problem?

The first thing I would do is check to see how the fuel pressure is while the condition is current, and go from there.

do you think Autoparts store rent out Pressure gauges?

you know i actually really like my long soft clutch pedal, like Josh said a while back when driving my car "you dont want a heavy pedal, because when you have a girl in the car you want it to be a smooth ride, they like that" and honestly they do

I Agree with corey this sounds more of a fueling issue, then an ignition issue. Check the pressure if you can. I bet its something with the fuel system causing the pressure not to be adequate. Also if you end up checking the fuel pressure BE CAREFUL when opening the fuel line. Crack them at the beginning to relieve the pressure.

After that it's time to see what's coming out of the sensors.

Well, this isn't what I did to my car, but this is kind of a general discussion thread. I drove our 2012 car today. 60 hp, 540 lbs (with me in it). It's fucking insane. I pulled almost 1.4 G's on our shitty cracked up parking lot. It's looking very likely that I'll be the fastest driver with a little practice. I'm already running consistently within a second of our fastest driver, with my fastest lap being .1 seconds off his.

Got backed into at gamestop. Dude fucked up my right rear wheel, scratched my rear bumper cover right behind the wheel and scratched and slightly dented the lower portion of my quarter panel right in front of the wheel. The damage isn't all that bad as I was able to drive home but the wheel's got to go and the car needs painting. I could have been on my way in 5 minutes but the guy who hit me decided to not give me his insurance info and wanted us to just drive away so I called the 5-0 and ended up waiting half an hour for them to show up.

Still plan on going to the meet though.

just found out the windows in the GTI go up when you lock the car using the key, and go down when using the key automatically, SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sucks though i never use my key
