Don't buy springs because of their drop, by springs based on stiffness. First and foremost you want springs that are the proper stiffness for your car and it's desired purpose, second buy springs that match your shocks. I'm not saying don't buy neuspeeds, just saying, I suggest you look at the spring rates. Warning, H&R race springs will be very harsh and very low. It depends on what your doing but H&R sports are a better choice if you don't plan on using your car for motorsport activities.

From what I know about springs get progressive springs. That is, their stiffness is not linear, but rather when driving softly the suspension is softer than when driving hard/cornering hard.

Depends on what you want to do with the car. Personally I hate progressive springs but they are good for the street!

ID race springs are for coilovers. I still don't understand why you don't want coilovers? Switching springs is a lot more time consuming than adjusting the height collar. Also I still don't understand why you are so against BCs? There not going to be a ton more than Koni/H and R, stiffness is easy to adjust, and they have an awesome warranty.

That is a pretty foolish statement. You do understand many companies german or otherwise ship there unassembled products to china for assembly because labor is so much cheaper there. One example that I have on top of my head is Crawford. They will design there rods here in the U.S.A but have them shipped out for machining and then sent back here for inspection and then they are shipped out to customers. This doesn't automatically mean the product is shit, It just means the company was smart and saved a buck.

By no means am I telling you to equip your car with all Chinese products. I'll be the first to admit I've learned the hard way, trying to save a buck here and there by buying Chinese products. But what I've learned is do your research! it will save you a boatload of money and more importantly headaches down the road. First and foremost make sure whatever your buying is backed with a good warranty. For instance the BC coilovers I have are backed by a no questions asked lifetime warranty. There is no excuse for being stubborn it just shows the lack of research you've done.

Goodluck with your decision!

I agree with Alden. Lot's of good products come from places other than Germany, sometimes at a much more reasonable price.

this is true for almost everything these days. i was in the fashion industry for a bit and even the high end companies had their shit produced in china. china is no longer just for "shitty products", stuff made there can be well made and even surpass the quality of other places. also as alden stated, a lot of "made in x" country claims are very deceiving. depending on where you are at, only a certain percentage of the product needs to be made/assembled there to be classified as that. so the "made in" badge can pretty much mean nothing.

so just saying i only buy stuff made in x country for no good reason is being narrow minded and uninformed. if the german product is the best fit for your needs and budget - then by all means go for it. or if you're just a german product whore, then that's your choice too - but you should at least be informed!

by the way luminics isn't made in germany.

I think that is dumb to say you will only buy from German companies. If anything you should stick to American companies, because of the economy. In a situation like this, I would base my decision solely on quality and reviews on the product. It doesn't matter where it comes from (or says it comes from). There could be crappy products from Germany, as there are also crappy products from China. There are good ones from Germany as well as China, USA, Dutchland (is that the dutch country? lol!). Just because your car has all German parts on a German car, doesn't make it any better than a German car with other products on it. Who cares where it comes from, as long as it is the highest quality part for the least money.

What? that makes no sense, and completely disagrees with Alden's statement, now i should move away from Germany to America, because of the Economy, and become an American Whore? even if the parts are shit, i should still back this country up, because of the economy?..... i might be getting a little offensive, but there is a reason why the countries economy is in the shit, it was because of American products, with their awful quality. and if American products are so great, why is their metal work gone down the drain?, the other week, i snapped a piece of American made steel, with a 1/2" wrench? also Adam you know my views on this country, and that statement doesnt follow my beliefs.

Lol that was fuckin retarded. You really think American parts are shit? The reason that people started buying stuff from China and Mexico is because it is cheap. American stuff is generally more expensive, but it is good stuff. If you actually want a job than you should support the American economy. If not, then get out of this country. I know you want to, but stop bashing this country for everything. You would have broken the same torque wrench if it was British made. You probably were just misusing it. Just because you contribute to our economy doesn't mean you're an American whore, it just means you care about the jobs of people in this country, which is obviously important.

The Fusion was assembled in Mexico, but many parts were from other places. The chassis and engine are not necessarily Japanese, most of the parts (even on the Mazda6) are stamped with FoMoCo.

That's because FoMoCo licensed the design of the MZR engine from Mazda. Under that license they call it Duratec, but it's Mazda-designed.
