The thing with your throttle body is the EGR valve. The thing with the pulley might be the AC clutch?

I've never seen an A/C clutch that looked like that. The pulley looks like a dummy, so it would either be an idler or a tensioner. With another angle of it it would be easy to tell what it is.

First part is definitely the termostat

Second part appears to be part of the coolant system, with a coolant temperature sensor plugged into it.

If you showed me a picture straight from the front I would be able to tell you if it's a tensioner or an idler. The body of it looks like a tensioner's spring pack housing, but I can't tell if it's on a pivot or not. If not then it's an idler.

Haha, this is a hard game. That's got to be the tensioner.

If I had the parts in my hand and a Mazda3 in front of me it would have been pretty easy. It's one third of the things you need to know to be a mechanic Razz
