| You are correct, in that pic they're Wintersport M3's. (205/45, never buy 45 series snow tires lol).
Now i'm rocking some Graspic DS2's but with a 65 sidewall. The wintersports turned better, but the graspics have more overall grip as far as I can tell. Thanks for all the positive comments!

| I feel like Dunlop has a very good and affordable tire line. I strongly recommend them. Continental is not very good bc there tires tend to wear funny and be soft. Michelin snow tires are very good, ice x and alpine just to name a few. Bridgestone blizzaks are also good. The ws760s I believe. | |

| but that is the thing, you want tires to be soft, that way they can contour with the road, otherwise you are pretty much just using an all season or summer tire if you dont want a soft compound in the winter temps, unless you drove the Conti EWC in climates that were much higher then winter temps, but ive been looking at the EWC tires, mainly because if i open any mag really, they usually review some sort of tire, and the ones that review the EWC tires, they say you really cant go wrong with them, which is good, i can get a really good set of winter tires, that are only $104 a tire (205/55/16) that will not break the bank not at all, and i can assure myself less worry in the winter time, now the Graspic DS-3 $100 a tire (205/55/16) thats not bad either, now that i looked at the price, and i looked at the results from Tire Rack, the EWC was the third best winter tire for its class behind the WS70, and the X Ice ($20 more a tire) now if a tire is 2 rankings better then the DS-3 for only $4 more a tire, im looking at a win/win situation, but again this is all preference, and i respect your preference as well Josh, but now im throwing my preferred thoughts out there as well | |

| You were trying to communicate an idea, and it's much easier to grasp that idea when it is written intelligibly. | |

| Aren't rough drafts meant to be revised? Yours was not, therefore it's not a rough draft. It is just a poor attempt at a proper explanation. | |

| We're all forgetting the big point here - A snow tire is a snow tire. Are you really going to notice a 1% difference in grip between one companies tire to another? In my experience, no. I'm from up north (Petoskey if you want to know) so I know a thing or two about the white stuff and driving in it. It doesn't really matter who's tires your on, because the guy driving a Prius on Goodyear Integrity's is going to hit you. (Or in Josh's case, an old lady in a buick)
:p
But yeah, the jump between all-season tires and snow tires on snow is so huge that it doesn't really matter a whole lot what kind of snow tire your on.
And studs are useless unless your ice racing, so get stud-less tires (the studable ones use different compounds that aren't as good in loose snow, tire rack has tested this to be true and it's a good read anyway http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=94 ).
Also, everyone should get a beater '93-01 subaru impreza for winter. Snow tires + old AWD impreza = unstoppable!

| I think snow tires would matter if you lived in a place that had snow on the ground more, and were in a harsher area. For example, if you lived in Colorado, snow tires would matter more for when you have to climb a huge mountain road and it's still fresh snow. Any snow tire is going to get you through Michigan weather, so I agree 100% with Cory! | |

| Once again Corey I'm sorry for messing up your thread, but really dani?!?!? You must have put hardly any effort into finding what Corey was talking about. So instead u just posted something to boost your point! How Many times do I have to say this "the best you know is the best you have road on!" I have been in the tire game alone longer than you have been in the car game. I have driven all of these tires. Guess what? They all got me to where I needed to go.
