| Hey guys
My car is making a constant clicking noise everytime I turn left lol, I looked under my car and my left axle boot is completely destroyed. Im guessing it happend over winter and all the salt and dirt got inside my bearings. So is this whats causing the clicking noise? If it is, can I drive my car for like 3-4 more weeks before I replace it myself, or should I just give it to a shop and have them do it? I've never replaced an axle before so I want to wait and change it when I have time. | |

| So your CV boot is destroyed? I have no idea about the difficulty of replacing a CV joint (or whether you have to do the whole half-shaft with it), but is there still grease left in it? I mean how dirty does it look? I think that's the question to whether or not it needs replacement, but I definitely wouldn't drive it...it might lock up if there is no grease and mess up even more of your car. | |

| you can easily do it, we did the drivers half shaft on nicks Subi, fairly straight forward, i would say replace it as soon as you have time, no need to go to a shop | |

| Umm so first of all Kash, Alden and I told you last summer to replace that shit. The clicking noise is from grooves being worn into the hub side cv. It's just fine to drive, it will just continue to click more and more. You will need a new half shaft but it wont be too bad, probably $50 brand new plus like $15 core. It's a super easy install | |

| Let me kno man left axles are not bad the only thing you need is the right punch and possible some force if it's in the hub good and tight. See um done all day. If you need anything just let me know and I can see what I can do. | |
