| The Gti has sold, to a very nice gentleman who will probably hang around here quite a bit As many of you know, I have been wanting a Subaru for EVER!! I even remember talking to Derrick about getting an L for auto x long before this forum was in existence. Today I can proudly say, I finally have found that L. It's slow, it's old, but it's a GF, it's a 5 speed, awd, and it's a wonderful starting point. Current mod list is short, 2.5rs front brakes and rear lsd. Much more to come. | |

Haha, yea the mk1 reminds me of when my uncle built his airplane. I was 8.... and he went for the first flight like 2 years ago haha. But yea, I really like the Subaru. I dare say even that my days of modifying Bmws are over. - dogbreath wrote:

Not this year, the all seasons suck but I can't justify spending the money just to get summer tires in a few months. - halo0 wrote:

well at least your uncle got it going! that's a fucking long time though.... maybe we'll live to see alden's dad put together the elan? LOL, I hope so. Eventually Alden and I will just take that shit and finish it ourselves lol. Update on the GF, I threw in a new steering wheel (thanks alden) and a one off shifter I had made back in the day for my bmws. The interior looks much better, unfortunately though in the process of installing the shift knob I broke my center console so I will be ordering a new one soon. Also yesterday Alden and I discovered that this so called LSD is actually a welded diff . It's not terrible, it is fun but parking is a PITA. Some shitty pictures from work the other day | |
